3 workers die after falling from under-construction building in Ctg
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Hasan, son of Firoz Goyal from Char Jabbar in Noakhali; Fakhrul Islam, son of Mohammad Selim from Subarnachar; and Mohammad Rashed, son of Abul Kalam from Char Nangolia
Three construction workers died after falling from the ninth floor of an under-construction building in the Rangam Convention Hall area of Chattogram's Kotwali today (18 July).
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Hasan, son of Firoz Goyal from Char Jabbar in Noakhali; Fakhrul Islam, son of Mohammad Selim from Subarnachar; and Mohammad Rashed, son of Abul Kalam from Char Nangolia.
Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost In-Charge Nur-e-Alam Ashiq said, "The three workers were brought to the hospital in critical condition around 12:40pm. Two of them were declared dead on arrival, while Rashed, who was admitted to Ward 28, died during treatment around 3pm."
Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Karim said that the bodies are currently at the hospital and legal procedures are underway.
Their co-worker Mohammad Russel said the three were working on a lift platform on the ninth floor when it collapsed around 12pm, causing them to fall.
Later, fellow workers rescued and rushed them to the hospital.
