3 killed in Brahmanbaria road accident

Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway in Brahmanbaria.
 
The accident occurred in Syedabad area of Kasba Upazila on Friday afternoon when a truck, microbus and CNG-powered auto-rickshaw collided. 
 
However, the police have not immediately revealed the names of the deceased. 
 
Mahbubur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khatihata Highway Police Station in Brahmanbaria, confirmed the matter and said, "A CNG-powered auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction collided with a truck heading towards Brahmanbaria in the Syedabad area at noon. At this time another microbus collided with the truck and auto-rickshaw."
 
The passengers of the auto-rickshaw and microbus were seriously injured. Later they were taken to the District Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
 
B. M. Musa, doctor of the District Sadar Hospital said, "Three people died on the way to the hospital. The condition of the injured is also critical. Everyone has serious head injuries. They have been referred to Dhaka."
