3 JMB members remanded

A Dhaka court today placed three members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh on three-day remand.

The remanded arrestees are Ameer Abu Raihan Mahmud, Md Habibur Rahman and Md Razibur Rahman Razib.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas granted the remand when police produced them before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

On Sunday, a team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit detained three alleged members of the banned militant group JMB from Sayed Nagar area in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Masudur Rahman, said, "150 detonators, 20 explosive gel sticks, jihadi books and one commando knife were seized from their possession."
