3 of a family electrocuted in Barguna

Three members of a family electrocuted in Khastabak village under Barguna's Patharghata upazila today morning.

The deceased are Hamida Begum, 50, her son Russel, 25, and brother-in-law Delwar Hossain, 45.

Quoting locals, Patharghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahabuddin said, "Delwar came into connection with a live wire in the morning while cutting a betel nut tree in his garden."

"Russel and Hamida Begum got electrocuted as they tried to save Delwar," the police officer added.

Later, locals rescued and took them to Patharghata Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors declared them dead.
