3 construction workers die from electrocution in B'baria

Three construction workers died from electrocution while working at a house in Brahmanbaria's Sarail upazila on Monday (04 September).

The incident took place at Terkanda village of Noagaon union of the upazila at 3:30pm.

The deceased are Lokman Mia, 29, Amjad, 18, and Sharif, 15.

Sarail police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Emranul Islam said, "Construction worker Lokman and his two associates Amjad and Sharif were working on rods in the house of Barkat Ali in Terkanda village. All three of them got electrocuted when electric wires got caught in the rods.

"When they were taken to the upazila health complex, the doctor on duty declared them dead."

Necessary legal action is being taken over the incident, the OC said.
