26 officers equivalent to Superintendent of Police (SP) have been transferred to different posts across the country. 

Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday issued a circular regarding the reshuffle, adding that eleven districts are going to get new SPs.

Brahmanbaria SP Anowar Hossain Khan and Moulvibazar SP Mohammad Shahjalal both have been transferred as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police headquarters. 

Faridpur SP Zakir Hossain Khan, Netrokona SP Joydeb Chowdhury, Satkhira SP Sazzadur Rahman, Lakshmipur SP ASM Mahatab Uddin and Narsinghdi SP Prolay Kumar Juwardar have been shifted to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as Deputy Commissioners (DC).

Sunamganj SP Barkatullah Khan has been shifted to Highway police unit, while Natore SP Saifullah Al Mamun got transferred to Railway Police. Madaripur SP Subrata Kumar Halder has been transferred to Rangpur range. Anisur Rahman AIG of Headquarters has been shifted as the DC of the DMP.

Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury, the SP of Special Branch (SB) has been shifted to Police Training Centre in Tangail, while SP of SB Farhat Ahmed to Police Training Center in Noakhali. SP of SB Saifullah Bin Anwar has been shifted to AIG Headquarters, while DC of DMP Masud Ahammad to SP of Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

Meanwhile, in another circular 11 more officers -- equivalent to SP rank posted as Superintendent of Police to different districts.

They are -- DC of DMP Dr AHM Kamruzzaman has been posted to SP of Lakshmipur while SP of SB Mizanur Rahman as Sunamganj SP.

DC of DMP Alimuzzaman has been posted as the SP of Faridpur while AIG of Police Headquarters and Faruk Ahammed has been posted as SP of Moulvibazar.

DC of DMP Liton Kumar Saha, Mohammad Anisur Rahman, Akbar Ali Munshi and Mohammad Mahbub Hasan have been posted respectively as SP of Natore, Brahmanbaria, Netrokona and Madaripur.

SP of Meherpur Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman has been transferred as the SP of Satkhira.

The transferred officers have to join a meeting in the Public Security Division of Home Ministry on July 21, the circular read.
