A number of memorandum of understandings (MoUs), inauguration programmes and donation announcement were announced on Tuesday as Bangladesh awaits Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit this month.
The Indian High Commission today issued a press release mentioning the proposed MoUs and joint-inaugurations to be embarked on by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her counterpart Narendra Modi.
The two MoUs will be signed on the Bangladesh-Bharot Digital Service & Employment and Training Centre and the establishment of sports facilities at Rajshahi College field and surrounding areas.
The inauguration ceremonies will be held over the extended development work of Rabindra Bhawan Kuthibari in Kushtia's Shilaidaha, and the infrastructure development for Power Evacuation Facilities of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Pabna.
Moreover, the donation announcement of 109 basic life support ambulances are to be made during the upcoming VIP visit.
Modi's plan to visit Bangladesh on March 26-27 will be his first trip abroad in more than a year, mainly because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bangladesh is set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of independence and 50 years of Bangladesh-India diplomatic relations this year.
