2 killed in Gazipur as pickup van overturns

Two persons were killed as a pickup van overturned on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Hotapara area in Gazipur today.

The deceased - Anwar Hossain and Amir Hossain - hailed from Netrokona.

Officer-in-Charge of Naojor Highway Police Outpost Moshiur Rahman said, "The Mymensingh-bound pickup van from Dhaka overturned when its driver lost control over the steering and hit with the road divider at around 6 am. The duo died on the spot."

"Police recovered the bodies and seized the pickup van. A case will be filed over the accident," he added.
