2 killed in Brahmanbaria road accident

Two people were killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a microbus and a pickup van on Dhaka-Sylhet highway of Bijaynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Friday morning.

The accident occurred at Alinagar area around 9.30 am when the Sylhet-bound microbus hit the pickup van coming from the opposite direction.
 
Atiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bijaynagar Police Station confirmed the matter and said that "The accident took place when a microbus heading from Dhaka to Sylhet collided head-on with another pickup van coming from the opposite direction towards Dhaka, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured."

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. Police said the deceased both are between 25 and 30 years old. The injured were rescued and sent to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex.
