2 of family killed in Pabna as truck rams into their house

A man and his daughter were killed when a Sirajganj-bound truck rammed into their house in Pabna's Santhiya last night.
The deceased are Shah Babu, 37, a day labourer, and his 12 years old daughter Bristy Khatun.
Confirming the matter, Santhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman said, "A rashly-driven cement-laded truck rammed into a tin-shed house of Shah Babu at 9.30pm on Friday when the family was having dinner."
"Babu and his daughter died on the spot. However his wife and son had a narrow escape," the OC added.
Police and fire service officials rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
The killer truck was seized, but its driver and helper fled the scene after the accident.
