A case was filed against two Chinese nationals, five months after the police seized casino equipment from Dongjin Longevity battery factory in Lakshmankhola, near the port area of Narayanganj.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Revenue Officer Wahiduzzaman Bodi filed the case last Tuesday on March 3.

The two Chinese nationals are Wi Dong Li and Lu Pin.

Narayanganj port police station Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.

Rafiqul said, "Acting on a tip-off, a CIID team conducted an operation at Dongjin Longevity battery factory. The team seized gambling equipment brought from Hong Kong and Macau. They did not
arrest anyone at that time. "

"After five months of investigation the CIID lodged a case against Wi Dong Li and Lu Pin – on the grounds of money laundering," added Rafiqul.
