2 arrested over Rangpur schoolboy murder

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested two youths accused in the case filed over the murder of schoolboy Abdur Rashid in Rangpur.  
 
The arrestees are Mozaffer Hossain, 22, of Keranipara and Nishad Ahmed, 21, of the same area.
 
RAB arrested prime accused Mozaffer from the Rangpur-Badarganj road and Nishad from Machchari area in separate drives.
 
"We also seized one foreign pistol and two rounds of bullets from Mozaffer," RAB-13 Captain Reza Ahmed Ferdous said in a press briefing at the RAB headquarters.  
 
On September 1, another accused in the case, Monty Hossain was arrested from Panchagarh.  
 
On August 29, Mozaffer and his accomplices threw Rashid in front of a moving bus on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway after hacking him with knife.  
 
Rashid's elder brother Mohon claimed that Mozaffer and Nishad killed his brother as he refused to give the duo Tk500. Rashid also complained to his father about the incident.
 
Rashid's father Shahidur Rahman filed a case in this connection on August 30.
