Police arrested two alleged members of the banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla team (ABT) with explosives and arms from Bogura's Baghupara on Sunday.
The arrestees are Ekram Hossain and Jahidur Rahman both hailing from Cumilla.
Bogura Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Ali Asraf Bhuiyan confirming the matter said that the main activity of the two militants was to collect funds for their organisation.
Acting on a tip-off, Bogura Police team conducted the drive on Sunday morning.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Foysal Mahmud told the Business Standard that around 475 grams of explosives, a pistol, two rounds of ammunition, 25 books on extremism and 50 leaflets have been recovered from their possession.
SP Ali Arshad further added that the duo joined the militant outfit about five years ago and have visited 14 districts to raise funds for ABT.
