160 gold bars recovered at Ctg Airport

The Customs Intelligence along with a team of National Security Intelligence (NSI) recovered 160 gold bars from Biman Bangladesh Airlines Dubai flight at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport on Thursday.

"The airport customs and NSI team on a tip-off, conducted a drive on Thursday morning and seized the consignment in an abandoned condition under the seat of the aircraft," Roxana Khatun, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Custom House, told The Business Standard.

The bars were found in a plastic bag under the seat of BG148 flight, she said.

"The bars are being measured. Action will be taken as per custom law," she further added.
