1,256 get recognition as freedom fighters

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has published a gazette recognising 1,256 new freedom fighters.
The gazette was published on Tuesday in accordance with the decision of the 66th meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council after verifying and selecting them in three phases from around 1.5 lakh applications.
The gazette of freedom fighters is available on the website of Bangladesh Government Press (www.bgpress.gov.bd).
