100 more illegal establishments evicted from Ctg port area

The Chattogram Port Authority removed 100 illegal establishments from New Mooring Taktarpool area during an eviction drive on Tuesday. 
 
The drive led by the port authorised Officer and Executive Magistrate Gautam Barai, freed one acre of land located between MPB Gate and Navy Gate areas. 
 
Muhammad Shihab Uddin, assistant manager (land) at Chattogram port told The Business Standard today. 
 
He said officials and employees of the department concerned of the port and  20 workers and 15 members of Bangladesh Ansar took part in the drive. 
 
The port authorities demolished a total 250 illegal establishments and freed two acre of lands since Monday.
