10 innovations win national Hackathon Awards
Winners will be mentored by Tech Mahindra and trained at its Makers Lab in India
Ten innovative ideas on Saturday won the national "Startup Bangladesh-iDEA" awards.
The names of the winners were announced in the concluding ceremony of the two-day long National Hackathon at the Independent University, Bangladesh.
Ministry of Information Technology and Indian High Commission, and Dhaka and Tech Mahindra Limited (TechM) jointly organised the competition to find out young talents in Bangladesh who have bright and unique ideas that can solve national problems defined by Bangladesh itself.
Winners will be mentored by Tech Mahindra and trained at its Makers Lab in India.
Among 51 teams, the winners came up with technological solutions for 10 regular problems in society.
Local Government and Rural Development Minister Md Tajul Islam, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and the Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Dhaka Bishwadip Dey spoke at the ceremony.
