ভারত ও পাকিস্তানের মধ্যে যুদ্ধবিরতিতে তৃতীয় কোনো দেশের ভূমিকা ছিল না বলে। ভারত ও পাকিস্তান নিজেরাই ওই সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রসচিব বিক্রম মিশ্রি।
