In the wake of Israel's recent attacks on Palestine, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan said the international community should teach Israel a strong and deterrent lesson, and urged the Islamic world to unite in discourse and action.

The Turkish president made the statement in a social media post on Facebook on Sunday.

In the social media post, the Turkish president also unveiled details about his recent phone call with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani where they discussed about the latest Israeli attacks on Palestine and the future of Iran-Turkey relations.

While talking about the phone call with Rouhani, Erdogan said, "Emphasizing that the international community should also teach Israel a powerful and deterrent lesson in the face of these reckless attacks, I stated that it is essential for the Islamic world to be in a unity of discourse and action in this context."

"As a nation, we put forward our reaction in the harshest way against Israel's attacks and persecution in Palestine and we will continue to do so," added Erdogan
