India approves subsidy to export 6 million tonnes of sugar in 2020/21
India's cabinet on Wednesday approved a subsidy to encourage cash-strapped mills to export 6 million tonnes of sugar in the 2020/21 year started from Oct. 1.
The subsidy would be transferred into the accounts of sugar cane farmers, information minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters after the cabinet meeting.
