Expatriate Bangladeshi student's body recovered from Canadian river
The body is now in police custody
A body of an expatriate Bangladeshi student named Samiuzzaman Sami (24) was recovered from the Red River in the Canadian province of Manitoba on Wednesday.
The body is now in police custody and no immediate causes of the death were known.
Sami rented an apartment near the Red River with some Bangladeshi friends.
According to the police sources, he was missing since 9 January.
Sami was a graduate student in computer science at the University of Manitoba. He also worked part-time as a data analyst at a company called Bison Transport.
Samiuzzaman is the younger son of Mohammad Asadul Islam of Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah.
