22 hospitalised as bus, car collide in Singapore
Police investigations are ongoing
A total of 22 people have been hospitalised on Sunday morning after the bus carrying them collided with a vehicle on Jurong Island in Singapore.
The accident occurred at 7am at the end of Jurong Island Highway in Jurong island, reports The Straits Times.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the 22 victims – believed to be migrant workers – were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
According to police, all of them were conscious when taken to the hospitals.
The impact of the accident caused the bus to topple on its side, and the front half of the car to be crushed almost beyond recognition.
Police investigations are ongoing.
