Walton launches new budget smartphone

Local tech giant Walton has released its new smartphone Primo HM5, featuring 3GB RAM and 64GB storage with a powerful battery and dual rear cameras.

The price of the handset has been set at Tk8,599, Asifur Rahman Khan, head of Walton Cellular Phone Sales department, said.

The new phone is now available at all Walton Plaza, brand and retail outlets, and E-Plaza in three colours – midnight cyan, black and purple, Asifur Rahman added.

The Primo HM5 also features 6.1-inch in-cell HD+ IPS U-notch display with 1,560X720 pixel resolutions and runs Android 10, the company said.

The handset has a 1.8GHz Helio A20 Quad-Core processor, PowerVR Rogue GE8300 GPU, and 256GB external card support. It is powered by a 4,900mAh Li-polymer battery.

The device has dual rear cameras which features a 13MP Sony main camera with 1/3.06-inch sensor for sharp and colourful photos along with autofocus, PDAF and LED flash and another 8MP camera on the front with attractive modes and features.

Also, the smartphone has many advanced features including dual 4G SIM with VoLTE network support, full HD video recording and playback, fingerprint, OTA, and OTG.

Customers will enjoy 30-day instant replacement for the phone along with a 1-year regular warranty.
