The "Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project" of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under ICT Division kicked off a training program on "Digital Marketing" with startups and young entrepreneurs on Tuesday.

A 4-day long training will be conducted online, 4 hours daily, by an expert team from CodersTrust Bangladesh, who are the co-hosts of the training session said a press release issued by the ICT Division.

Giving priority to women entrepreneurs, more than 80 trainees from Women Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB), Nibedita, Startup Dhaka & Startup Chottogram are participating in this training.

The Managing Director (Secretary) of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum, ndc inaugurated the training program as the chief guest through an online videoconference.

Former Principle Secretary of Prime Minister's Office Md. Abdul Karim, Former ICT and Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan, Former Executive Chairman & Secretary of National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) Faruk Hossain, Senior Adviser of CodersTrust Bangladesh Brigadier General (Rtd.) Md. Abdul Halim, Co-Founder of CodersTrust Bangladesh Aziz Ahmad and President of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Bangladesh-WEAB Nilufer Karim attended as the guest of honor of the program.

The program was presided over by Syed Mojibul Huq, Project Director (Additional Secretary) of the "Startup Bangladesh- iDEA" project.

The Communications Consultant of the "Startup Bangladesh-iDEA" project under the ICT Division, Shohag Chandra Das stated that the trainees who are participating in this training program didnot have to pay any fees the release added.

Hosne Ara Begum said, "The country is going through a difficult time because of the deadly Corona Virus. The use of information technology is very important at this moment. Entrepreneurs will be benefited from this training. "

As the special guest of the program, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Mr. Parthapratim Deb said, "Bangladesh Computer Council always tries to highlight the need for information technology in various ways and at the same time takes different initiatives."

"Training in digital marketing is needed at this time, especially for women, startups, or small businesses."

"To build an efficient startup ecosystem in the country, BCC would continue its efforts future.", added Parthapratim Deb.  

Project Director of the "Startup Bangladesh- iDEA" project, Mojibul Huq said, "The whole world is scared of Corona Virus,"

"Due to the lockdown, everyone is now at home. So naturally, "Marketing" is becoming a challenge in business sectors now. Although the business sector is suffering a lot, there is no alternative to use Digital Marketing through the proper use of information technology."

"Therefore, this training will be beneficial for women and small business owners. 'Startup Bangladesh-iDEA' would continue to run similar training programs in the future as need.", Mojibul Huq.

The inaugural function was anchored by the head of Communications & Development of CodersTrust Bangladesh Chowdhury Daulat Mohammed Jafry.

The Deputy Project Director of iDEA Project Kazi Hosna Ara, the Technology Management Specialist Mehedy Hasan Bhuiyan, the Country Director of CodersTrust Bangladesh Ataul Goni Osmani and senior officials of ICT Division, BCC, Startup Bangladesh-iDEA, CodersTrust Bangladesh were present at the online opening ceremony of the training program.
