Transcom Digital has officially launched the room air-conditioners of Japanese brand Daikin in Bangladesh.
On Thursday, the company unveiled nine different models of air conditioners in three different series (inverter and non-inverter).
Yeamin Sharif Chowdhury, director of operations at Transcom Electronics, said, ""We are officially going to start working with them. Daikin has a worldwide reputation, while Transcom also wants to provide customers with reliable and sustainable products and services that meet the changing lifestyle needs of every day."
"As a partner of Daikin, we are delighted to bring their products to market in this country. The price of these ACs will start from Tk68,500 and buyers will get five years warranty and two years after sales service. We believe Daikin's products will make our customers' lives easier," he added.
At the event, Daikin's Vice-President Manoj Agarwal said the use of refrigerants make an adverse effect on the weather. That is why we are emphasising the use of HFC32 technology. We already have a market through informal channels in Bangladesh. Now, with Transcom's participation, we are officially entering the market with room air conditioner.
He said, "Transcom has various types of customers in this country. The company has a strong service network and call center to serve these customers. We believe that, in the case of room AC business, Transcom will play an important role as a digital partner to promote our brand in this country's market."
