"Asia Cup is a tournament hosted by the ACC. Keeping in mind the current situation, it has postponed the tournament. If everything is okay, then the tournament will be held in 2021," he said.

U-19 Asia Cup postponed to 2021

The Under-19 Asia Cup, which was supposed to be held from November 18, has been postponed. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to do so because of the outbreak of Covid-19. 

The news has been confirmed to The Business Standard (TBS) by Abu Imam Mohammad Kaiser, the game development manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (‌BCB).

"Asia Cup is a tournament hosted by the ACC. Keeping in mind the current situation, it has postponed the tournament. If everything is okay, then the tournament will be held in 2021," he said.

The eight-team tournament was scheduled to start on November 18. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Afghanistan and the UAE were supposed to qualify directly.
