BCB XI bundled Windies XI out for 257 in the first innings of the three-day warm-up match at Chattogram, thanks to leg-spinner Rishad Hossain's five-for.
Windies started off the day pretty well after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Their skipper Kraig Brathwaite and John Campbell put on a 67-run opening stand. Campbell was the first to go. All-rounder Shahadat Hossain Dipu sent him back to the pavilion after he scored 44 off 73 deliveries. This was Dipu's only wicket in the innings.
It was all Rishad Hossain after that. He got tremendous support from pacer Khaled Ahmed as well. These two picked up 8 wickets combined.
Rishad bowled 23 overs for his 5 wickets giving away 75 runs. He began his wicket fest with Shayne Moseley's wicket. The youngster then went on to pick up 4 more. Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Alzarri Joseph and Shannon Gabriel were his other victims.
Besides picking up a five-for, Rishad took two brilliant catches as well.
Even though Rishad picked up an all-important five-for to bowl Windies out, pacer Khaled Ahmed did the main job of breaking their backbone upfront.
