Mushfiqur Rahim's bat has finally been bought for 17 lakh taka by Pakistan superstar Shahid Afridi.
The bat with which Mushfiq scored his first double-century against Sri Lanka in 2013 was bought by Afridi for his foundation, an official informed on Friday.
The auction had earlier faced some issues as fake bidders got involved resulting in the auction being suspended.
Mushfiq's bat auction was jointly operated by his management partner Nibco, e-commerce website Pickaboo.com and Sports for Life.
They also auctioned memorabilia of cricketers such as Mosaddek Hossain's bat and Naim Sheikh's bat, a cap signed by Mashrafe Mortaza.
All the proceeds would go to help people affected by the coronavirus.
