Mominul's surgery in Dubai
Tigers' Test skipper injured his right thumb while playing against Gemcon Khulna last week.
While everybody is busy playing in the ongoing Bangabandhu T20 Cup, Mominul is preparing himself to fly to Dubai for his surgery. Tigers' Test skipper injured his right thumb while playing against Gemcon Khulna last week.
Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) chief physician Dr Debashish Chowdhury confirmed to The Business Standard that he will be going under knives on 08 December in Dubai. BCB wanted to send Mominul to Australia or England, but that is not happening due to the quarantine protocols in those countries.
"We confirmed earlier that he would need surgery. We were looking for a suitable country without any quarantine related protocols. After everything, we decided on Dubai. Mominul may be flying to Dubai after getting his visa on 06 December and he will be having surgery on 08 December," said Dr Debashish.
BCB are expecting Mominul to be fit before the Windies series. They will be visiting Bangladesh in early January if everything goes according to plan.
