Miraz on the cusp of matching Shakib Al Hasan and Imran Khan's feat

If he takes three wickets tomorrow, he will be part of an exclusive list of all-rounders with a hundred and 10 wickets in a Test match. Sir Ian Botham, Imran Khan and Shakib Al Hasan are the all-rounders to achieve this feat before.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is having a dream Test match against the West Indies at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. He notched up his maiden Test hundred and starred with the ball later as well, picking up four wickets in the first innings. He claimed all three West Indies wickets that fell on day four.

He has an opportunity to achieve a few staggering feats. If he takes three wickets tomorrow, he will be part of an exclusive list of all-rounders with a hundred and 10 wickets in a Test match. Sir Ian Botham, Imran Khan and Shakib Al Hasan are the all-rounders to achieve this feat before.

If he fails to do so and picks up two, he will still be a part of an elite list of cricketers with a century and a five-wicket haul in a Test match. Until now, 23 cricketers have done so. Sir Ian Botham registered a hundred and a five-wicket haul in a match five times. Two Bangladeshis also feature in the list in the form of Shakib Al Hasan and Sohag Gazi, with Shakib achieving it twice.

Miraz is now playing his 23rd Test match and has picked up 97 wickets. Three more wickets tomorrow will make him the national record holder of the fastest bowler to pick up 100 Test wickets. He will still have the chance to achieve the feat in the next match if he can't do it tomorrow as the current record holder Taijul Islam picked up his 100th wicket in his 25th match.
