The coronavirus outbreak has brought the whole world to a standstill. Everything has been closed down and in such a situation, those who live hand to mouth are facing a troublesome period. In such a situation, Bangladesh women's team cricketer Jahanara Alam came forward to help the affected people on her birthday.
April 1, 2020, was Jahanara's 28th birthday and she decided to help the affected people on the day. In her effort, Jahanara has provided 50 families in Mirpur with daily necessities and food.
Jahanara herself posted about the initiative on her Facebook page. She wrote, "This is not a post to show people. I stand by them as much as I can. I urge you to stand beside the helpless. Raise your hand with as many as you can. With 5, 5 or more in your capacity. We can stand beside helpless people at this critical moment in our country."
Cricketers have already come forward with their initiative as 27 male cricketers formed a fund to fight coronavirus where they donated half of their one month's salary.
