The Women's T20 Challenge kicked off today with last years finalists, Velocity and Supernovas facing each other at Sharjah today.
Jahanara Alam, the Bangladeshi superstar, playing for Velocity shined with ball in the very first match.
She bagged 2 wickets for 27 runs from her allotted 4 overs. She picked the wickets of Chamari Atapattu and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, the two top scorers for Supernovas.
Valocity restricted Supernovas for 126/8 from 20 overs meaning they need 127 to win the opener tonight.
Jahanara is playing for the second consecutive time for Velocity. Tomorrow she will face Salma Khatun, who is playing for the Trailblazers.
