Defending champions and start-studded Bashundhara Kings conceded 3-4 goals defeat against Chittagong Abahani Ltd in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at their home venue of Sheikh Kamal National Stadium in Nilphamari on Sunday.

Bashundhara Kings conceded the first defeat in the league losing to Mohammedan SC by 0-1 goal in Cumilla on March 7. 

The big budgeted Bashundhara Kings dominated the match by 3-0 goals till 63rd minute after dominating the first half by 2-0 goals. All the seven goals of the match were scored by foreign booters.

With the day's tremendous victory, the port city team Chittagong Abahani Ltd took a solo lead in the point table securing 13 points from 6 matches while holders Bashundhara Kings went down in the race with 10 points from six league outings.

Bashundhara Kings, which made a dream start in their maiden AFC Cup match on March 11 in Dhaka shocking TC Sports of the Maldives by 4-1 goals, frustrated their home crowd on Sunday.

In the day's match, Bashundhara Kings controlled the match from the very beginning, but they had to wait for the first goal till 43rd minute.

Kings skipper cum World Cup playing Costa Rica booter Daniel Colindres was fouled by Chittagong Abahani defender. Referee pointed his figure for a penalty.

Kings Tajikistan forward Akhtam Nazarov scored the first goal in the 43rd minute converting a spot kick (1-0).

Kings extended their lead in the stoppage of the first half (45+3 minute) when their Argentine defender of Nicolas Delmante scored the 2nd goal from danger zone (2-0).

But, the Nilphamari spectators witnessed five more goals in the 2nd half.

Kings captain Daniel Colindres scored the 3rd goal in the 59th minute by an angular shot (3-0).

After conceding three goals in a row, Maruful Haque's Abahani booters wake-up and scored two quick goals within just three minutes.

They came back in the back within 3 minutes after scoring two quick goals.

Ivory Coast booter Charls Didier reduced the Abahani margin in the 65th minute by a cool header off a Nazir Islam cross (3-1).

In the 67th minute, Abahani got a penalty. Kings goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico, who saved three TC Sports penalties just 4 days before, failed to protect a penalty taken by Abahani's Brazilian booter Nixon Brizolora (3-2).

Chittagong Abahani scored two more quick goals.

In the 87th minute, Brazilian Nixon Brizolora leveled the score line by a placing shot, utilizing a Mannaf Rabby's cross (3-3).

In the added time (90+4), Mathew Chinedu sealed the fate of the match scoring the 4th and match winning goal, off a Mannaf Rabby pass (4-3) with the frustrating of Kings fan.
