Rakheem Cornwall was being considered as one of the major troubles ahead of the Test series. Well, he kept quiet in the first innings but he has already troubled Bangladesh early in their second innings.

Cornwall sent back Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto back to the pavilion in the second over of the innings. Tamim was trapped LBW and Shanto was caught at slip.

Both of the batsmen went back for a duck.

Skipper Mominul Haque joined Shadman Islam at the crease.

Bangladesh currently leading by 174 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

2:50 pm

Windies bundled out for 259 in their first innings. They were going strong, at one stage they were 253 for 5 just before the Tea break.

Nayeem Hasan broke the 99-run partnership of Jermaine Blackwood and Joshua Da Silva, and everything just fall apart for them.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, after scoring his maiden Test century with the bat, bagged 4 wickets with the ball as well. This has been well and truly Miraz's Test so far.

Mustafiz, Taijul and Nayeem all picked a brace each.
Bangladesh have a lead of 171 runs as they come on to bat in second innings.

2:10 pm

Windies were going strong. Jermaine Blackwood and Joshua Da Silva's 99-run 6th wicket partnership was giving hopes to them. Bangladesh was desperately in need of a breakthrough.

Nayeem Hasan came as a saviour. He sent back Silva just before tea when the team needed him the most. Silva went back to pavilion after scoring a valiant and valuable 42 runs off 141 deliveries.

As soon as his partner was dismissed, Blackwood soon followed as well. He played so well for his 68 off 146 deliveries but it wasn't just enough. Mehidy Hasan Miraz made him his second victim as umpires called Tea soon after.

Bangladesh are currently leading by 177 runs and will look to hunt the tailenders as soon as possible. Windies struggling, they have scored 253 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan have bagged a brace each. Taijul Islam picked the other wicket of Bonner.

The pitch is already showing it's uneven turns now and then.

12:15 pm

Windies are slowly but steadily trying to fight back into the match. They lost 3 wickets in the morning session but did score some quick runs as well.

Jermaine Blackwood is batting on 35 along with Joshua Da Silva on 12. They have built an unbeaten 37-run partnership so far.

Tigers will be looking for a few quick wickets to turn things around. Shakib's absence will definitely hurt them throughout the day.

Taijul and Miraz started off the proceedings from both sides after lunch.

10:40 am

Two wickets early in the morning have put Windies further behind in the Chattogram Test.

Day 3 started with a bang for Bangladesh. Taijul Islam picked up Nkrumah Bonner on the very first delivery of the day. He was bobbled up at slip by Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite was the next to go. He reached his fifty but failed to convert it into a bigger one as he was bowled by off-spinner Nayeem Hasan.

Windies are currently 4 down for 150. Kyle Mayers and Jermaine Blackwood are at the crease.

Tigers leading by 284 runs.

Windies finished day 2 on 75 for 2. Bangladesh scored 420 in their first innings, thanks to Mehidy Hasan Miraz for his maiden Test ton.

Shakib Al Hasan walked off the field after feeling discomfort in his groin, again. He may be unable to bowl in the third day.
