Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the first ODI and go 4th in ICC CWC Super League.
They now have 40 points from 7 matches. England, Pakistan and Australia are in front of them with a better NRR.
Wanindu Hasaranga's heroic 74 eventually went in vain. Saifuddin gave the much-needed breakthrough by sending him back to the pavilion when Sri Lanka's hopes were getting high.
Miraz bagged 4 wickets while Mustafiz bagged 3. Saifuddin bagged a brace and Shakib picked up the other wicket on his return.

Wanindu Hasaranga (62* off 42) keeping Sri Lanka's hopes alive in the first ODI.
Sri Lanka were 6 down for 102 at one stage. Win seemed imminent for the Tigers.
But Hasaranga had other plans in his mind. He started playing aggressive cricket and bagged quick runs.

Miraz has been the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name. He gave only 14 runs from his 8 overs including 2 maidens.
Shakib and Mustafiz picked a wicket each.
Bangladesh need 5 more wickets to win while Sri Lanka have a mammoth task ahead in front of them.

Bangladesh posted 257 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings of the first ODI at Mirpur.
Tamim, Mushfiq, Riyad all reached fifty but failed to convert to a hundred.
Mushfiq top-scored with 84 off 87 deliveries while Tamim and Riyad were dismissed for 52 and 54 respectively.
Dhananjaya de Silva was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name.

Tamim Iqbal went back to the pavilion soon after reaching his 51st ODI.
He was trapped lbw by Dhananjaya de Silva who sent Mohammad Mithun in the very next ball in the same fashion.
Bangladesh meanwhile lost two of their reviews.

It was full and in the slot for Liton to put away, but he only managed to edge it to the first slip.
Dushmantha Chameera picked up the wicket.
Shakib has now joined Tamim in the middle.
Bangladesh are 12/1 after 3.3 overs.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka lock horns in the first of the three-match ODI series at Mirpur.
Skipper Tamim Iqbal won the toss and elected to bat first on the hot, sunny day.
Shakib Al Hasan returned to the side as expected.
Bangladesh opted to go with three pacers and two spinners on their side, while Afif Hossain will bat at number 7.
