The Covid-19 situation in Bangladesh is becoming direr day by day. It has already hit Bangladesh cricket team as three of them have tested positive for Coronavirus.
To ensure the wellbeing of the cricketers during the pandemic, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has launched an android application called 'Covid-19 Wellbeing App'. BCB will monitor the health of the cricketers during the pandemic and help them out with appropriate instructions.
Cricketers are to download the application on their mobile phones and answer the questions set in it. Then they have to submit it to BCB's server so that the medical team can assess their health condition.
Manager of Management Information System (MIS) of BCB, Nasir Ahmed told The Business Standard, "We have set 18 questions for the players. Once they submit the answers, the information will be uploaded in our server. Then our medical team will decide which zone a particular player is in- red, blue or yellow. Then they will be given further instructions what to do and what not to do."
"If a cricketer is detected to be in the red zone, our manager of cricket operations Sabbir and the physician of BCB Dr. Debashish Chowdhury will be immediately notified," Nasir Ahmed added.
Apart from physical health, BCB will be monitoring the mental wellbeing of the cricketers.
