BCB aims to host 2025 CT

"We need to have 10 fully-fledged venues to host the ODI World Cup and eight to host the T20 World Cup. It's not possible for us. What we can do is to host the Champions Trophy. We will place offers to host that," said BCB President Nazmul Hassan after the meeting.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) directors spent a busy time while trying to decide on some major issues during the board of directors meeting on Tuesday at the BCB office in Dhaka.

The BCB is keen to host the eight-team 2025 ICC Champions Trophy solo. "We need to have 10 fully-fledged venues to host the ODI World Cup and eight to host the T20 World Cup. It's not possible for us. What we can do is to host the Champions Trophy. We will place offers to host that," said BCB President Nazmul Hassan after the meeting.

In addition, he said, "We can host the ODI and T20 World Cup jointly. For this we need to discuss with the boards that are under the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and we will do that in couple of days."
