Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) showed its desire to send the team in Pakistan but only for a short tour.

More specifically the BCB wants to tour Pakistan for a three-match T20 series only while they want to play the two-match Test series in a neutral venue.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that they have already communicated with Pakistan, letting them know what Bangladesh want but is yet to get any reply.

"We are with Pakistan always in their initiative to revive the cricket there and so at this moment we want to send the national male team for three-match T20 series only," Chowdhury told the media.

"At this moment we want the two-match Test series to be held in a neutral venue and Pakistan can decide where they want to play."

He continued: "Since Pakistan played in a neutral venue, we think it won't be a problem for them to arrange the Test series in a place other than Pakistan."

The bilateral series between the two countries which comprises with two-match Test series and three-match T20 series is scheduled to be held in February. For those matches, Bangladesh needs to stay in Pakistan for almost one month.

"At this moment we actually can't stay there for a longer period of time. We have already communicated them in this regard and we are still in touch with them. But still there is no reply," the CEO added.

Bangladesh earlier sent an aged level male team and national women's team in Pakistan but that also for a short tour. BCB's decision to make it a short tour came after a high-level security team, sent by the Bangladesh Government visited Pakistan twice to assess the security condition.
