Debutant Saif Hassan was the first to depart, as he was caught by Asad Shafiq off Shaheen Afridi for 0, in the first over at Rawalpindi
His partner, Tamim Iqbal departed the next over. Bangladesh star batsman was trapped lbw by Mohammad Abbas on 3.
Prior to that, Pakistan Captain Azhar Ali won the toss and put Bangladesh to bat.
The visitors opted to go with three pacers and one single spinner.
The hosts are unchanged from the Test they played against Sri Lanka in December.
