Alauddin Babu holds the record of conceding the most runs in List-A cricket for Bangladesh at Mirpur. And today, he bagged a hat-trick, at the very same venue in Dhaka Premier Division T20 Cricket League.

Babu, playing for Brothers Union, picked up the wickets of Muktar Ali, Shohag Gazi, and Nabil Samad of Legends of Rupganj to complete his hat-trick.

He sent Muktar and Shohag back to the pavilion in the last two deliveries of the 18th over. He came back to bowl the 20th over where he picked up Nabil Samad in the very first ball to complete the hat-trick.

Legends of Rupganj were bundled out for a paltry 111 runs which Brothers Union chased down comfortably keeping 8 wickets in hand.

This was the sixth hat-trick by a Bangladeshi bowler in T20 cricket, and Babu became the fifth bowler to do so.

Only Al-Amin bagged hat-trick twice. He bagged his first hat-trick in 2013 and the second one in BPL in 2015.

The other Bangladeshi bowlers to complete hat-trick are- Aliss Islam, Manik Khan, and Kamrul Islam Rabbi.
