Afghanistan suffer huge defeat against England

Chasing a mammoth 398, Afghanistan never looked threatening, let alone chasing it down as they ended up scoring 247/8 in their quota of fifty overs.

Afghanistan suffer huge defeat against England

The game was pretty much finished after England posted that humongous total of 397 as Eoin Morgan broke the world record for most sixes in an ODI innings. In reply, the Afghans never looked they like they were going after the English bowlers as they crawled their way to finish on 247, as Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 76.

Eoin Morgan smashed the most number of sixes in an innings - 17 - in the World Cup while Rashid Khan ended with the most expensive bowling figures in the tournament's history with 9-9-0-110-0.

England have won three of their four matches, losing only to Pakistan. On the other hand, Afghanistan have lost all of their matches and they have looked completey disoriented. 

England have brought in JAmes Vince in order to replace the injured James Roy, and Liam Plunkett makes way for Moeen Ali. 

Afghanistan have made three changes to their team. Hazratullah Zazai, Hamid Hassan and Aftab Alam makes way for Najibullah Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Dawlat Zadran.
