‘A Court Of Thorns And Roses’ series based on fantasy books in the works
"A Court of Thorns and Roses" will officially be adapted into a television show
Sarah J Maas' fantasy novel series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, will officially be adapted into a television show with Outlander showrunner Ronald D. Moore on board.
Maas shared the news in an excited Instagram post that the two are adapting the series for Hulu. The five-book saga chronicles a tale of a human named Feyre Archeron who's transported to the land of the faeries to answer for crimes against their people.
Written by Moore and Maas, A Court Of Thorns And Roses is described as a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It blends epic romance, adventure, and political intrigue in a tale of a huntress who agrees to travel to a magical realm with a faerie lord in return for her family's safety, only to fall for him and ultimately fight for that love when an ancient curse threatens to destroy the faerie and human realms.
Maas executive produces alongside Moore and Maril Davis via Moore's Tall Ship Prods.
