Head of Islamic Banking Division

Key Qualifications:

• Post-Graduation preferably in Banking & Finance/Marketing/Economics/Islamic Banking & Finance/Business Administration or other related discipline from a reputed university
• Professional degree in Shariah Law/certification in Islamic Banking will be an added advantage
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Islamic Banking at a senior executive position
• Having professional training in Islamic Banking and Shariah Laws
• Expertise in Islamic investment risk and compliance management
• Expertise in developing Islamic Banking products and concepts
• Knowledge in Islamic Banking regulatory framework of the country
• High success records in Islamic Banking career
• Having vast exposure to Islamic Banking client network
• Ability to lead and work independently, consult and clarify where necessary and make informed and firm decisions
• Having excellent oral and written skills as well as sound computer literacy
• Able to work under pressure and have positive mind-set
• Age should not be more than 50 years as at the time of application

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead Islamic Banking operation of SBAC and ensure maximum performance of the Islamic banking windows
• Design, plan and formulate strategies to achieve business goals as to Islamic Banking
• Boost overall business performance of SBAC Islamic Banking Windows
• Deposit and resource mobilization through means approved by the Shariah
• Plan and organize Islamic Banking budget as well as ensure investment in sectors approved by Shariah
• Implementing the policy, guidelines, and circular of Bangladesh Bank as to Islamic Banking
• Monitor and ensure all compliance related to Islamic Banking with Bangladesh Bank
• Liaison with Shariah Supervisory Committee and Divisions and Offices of the Bank to implement Islamic Banking smoothly
• Training on Islamic Banking
• Coordinate with other divisions/branches when required
