Chinese police have unearthed a fortune of gold in the basement of the home of former Chinese mayor of Danzhou.
In the secret cellar of former mayor Zhang Qi's home was no less than 13 tons of bullion-formed gold, which amounted to several hundred million US dollars, reports The News.
The authorities also seized a huge amount of cash in the form of dollars and euros worth 34 billion, including 268 billion.
