Countless novels are being adapted for movies and series nowadays. Mohammad Nazim Uddin's "Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Ashen Ni" is set to join that list as director Srijit Mukherji is adapting it for a new web series.

Srijit has been eager for a while now to adopt the book for a series. In 2019, he came to Bangladesh to talk about the development of the series. But it didn't materialize into anything.

The series will feature actors from Bangladesh and the West Bengal. Pori Moni will be playing the lead role, as the character Muskan.

Other prominent actors, the likes of- Chanchal Chowdhury, Mosharof Karim, and Anirban Bhattacharya will featured in the web series as well.

According to Anandabazar, Joya Ahsan was previously considered for the lead role. She was recommended by the writer Nazim Uddin himself. But due to various reasons, Pori Moni ended up landing the role.

The show will premiere in the Kolkata based streaming platform Hoichoi.
