Ram Gopal Varma announced on his twitter account that his new movie will be based on the Editor In Chief of Republic TV, Arnab Goswami.
The director announced the film via twitter, "It'll be Called 'Arnab' The News Prostitute," reported by Mashable India.
In a series of intimidating tweets, taking a jibe at the senior journalist, the director said, "My film on him is titled "ARNAB" THE NEWS PROSTITUTE. After extensively studying him I mulled on whether the tagline should be The News Pimp or The News Prostitute though both are relevant I finally settled on prostitute for its sound."
Ram Gopal's Varma's harsh criticism of the news anchor comes after Arnab's portrayal of Bollywood's stars and filmmakers in a bad light.
"The fact that he is making all of us #AdityaChopra , @karanjohar , @MaheshNBhatt @iamsrk @BeingSalmanKhan and many many others in the industry look like we are criminals rapists etc it's better we don't act like one by hiding and come out to face him like a man," said the director urging other industry insiders to speak out against Arnab Goswamy.
The director even challenged him saying, "On the other hand if u #ArnabGoswami react to my film or try to discredit me I would welcome that too because I can use it for the publicity of my film."
The tweet storm from RGV's account eventually stopped soon after a final snide from the filmmaker. Tweeting, "I know I used some hard language in these tweets to describe him but I took a cue of them from our very own dirty mouthed #ArnabGoswamy."
Arnab's incessant reference to Bollywood as a hub for gangsters and psychos is believed to have incited the recent response from the disputed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.
