Indo-Bangladesh film goes to Chinese film festival
Aupee Karim and Ritwick Chakraborty played the lead roles in the film
Mayar Jonjal (Debris of Desire), an Indo-Bangladesh film, has been selected for screening at the Shanghai Film Festival. The film will be screened in the "Asian new talent" category of the event.
The festival will be inaugurated on July 25. Mayar Janjal will be screened on the first day of the prestigious festival.
Jasim Ahmed, the producer of the film, said, "The head of the Asian New Talent Awards category confirmed the news in an email. We are very happy that our film is going to premiere at a renowned festival. It's time to take the audience back to the movies."
However, due to the pandemic, the organizers could not invite the producer, director and actors of "Mayar Jonlal" to Shanghai. However, they will promote the film during the festival.
