The first look of the much anticipated web series, "Rabindranath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni" directed by Indian director Srijit Mukherji was revealed on Thursday.
The director and the cast of the show joined a Facebook live to talk about this highly anticipated series.
Srijit regretted having to change the original Bangladeshi cast for the pandemic. Actors Chanchal Chowdhury, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Tariq Anam Khan had to be replaced when the shooting couldn't take place in Bangladesh.
Consequently, Indian actors Anirban Bhattacharya, Rahul Bose, Anirban Chakrabarti and Anjan Dutt joined the new lineup alongside Bangladeshi actor Azmeri Haque Badhon.
Earlier in September, Srijit shared the news regarding not being able to cast any Bangladeshi actors in this Bangladeshi thriller-adaptation on his social media accounts after Hoichoi's official announcement of the original series.
The web series is based on popular Bangladeshi writer Mohammad Nazim Uddin's widely acclaimed 2015 thriller of the same name and will be released on Hoichoi soon.
Mohammad Nazim Uddin is a popular contemporary thriller writer as well as a translator of more than 26 novels. In 2006, he started his career as a publisher and translator after completing BA and MA in Mass Communication and Journalism from University of Dhaka.
