Bangladesh also expects the Rohingya repatriation process will continue in the right earnest
Bangladesh hoped that the democratic process and constitutional arrangements would be upheld in Myanmar.
The ministry of foreign affairs made the comment today issuing a statement following a military coup in the neighbouring country early Monday.
The statement said, "Bangladesh firmly adheres to and promotes democratic ethos. We hope that the democratic process and constitutional arrangements will be upheld in Myanmar."

Dhaka expects to continue repatriation process with Myanmar
It said as an immediate and friendly neighbour, Bangladesh would like to see peace and stability in Myanmar.
"We have been persistent in developing mutually beneficial relations with Myanmar and have been working with Myanmar for the voluntary, safe and sustained repatriation of the Rohingyas sheltered in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh expects these processes to continue in the right earnest, the statement concluded.
