The Aga Khan Award winning Bangladeshi Arcadia Education Project in South Kanarchor, received recognition for excellence in architecture in Dhaka on October 2, 2019. 

The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), Aga Khan National Council, and Aga Khan Award for Architecture in collaboration with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh, hosted the event and paid tribute to architect Saif Ul Haque – one of the winners of the 2019 Aga Khan Award for Architecture, said a press release issued yesterday. 

The Award's Steering Committee members Emre Arolat, Hanif Kara, and Maria Tabassum along with Director of the the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (AKAA) Mr. Farrokh Derakhshani presented the Award Certificates to the architects and sponsor of the winning project. 

Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany HE Peter Fahrenholtz and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates HE Saed Mohammed Saed Hmaid Almeheiri were present at the ceremony.
